Yes, this is covered for you when using Rent Now. The prescribed information is contained in the tenancy agreement which all parties sign, including:
- details of the deposit amount
- where it will be protected
- how it will be treated
We also double down on this by sending the tenants an email as soon as the deposit has been protected re-iterating all the required information and attaching a copy of the DPS terms and conditions.
It's worth noting that the law states that the information needs to be provided to the relevant parties. This can be done electronically, so printed & signed forms are not necessary.
